Annihilation Score by Charles Stross Dominique O’Brien—her friends call her Mo—lives a curious double life with her husband, Bob Howard. To the average civilian, they’re boring middle-aged civil servants.
The Well by Catherine Chanter Set in a modern-day Britain where water is running out everywhere except at the farm of one seemingly ordinary family whose mysterious good fortune leads to a shocking act of violence, The Well is “extraordinary...a mesmerizing read…combining a gripping mystery, nuanced psychological drama, and striking prose” (Publishers Weekly, starred review).
How Were You Born by Kate Cayley How You Were Born is a collection of short stories looking at the bizarre, the tragi-comic and the unbelievable elements that run through our lives.
Strength of Conviction by Tom Mulcair The inside story of Tom Mulcair’s rise from modest, middle-class beginnings to the threshold of power.
Go Set a Watchman by Harper Lee Much has been made of the release of Go Set a Watchman, and too much of that has centred around the leaked news that the novel contains a very different Atticus Finch than you might remember from the beloved To Kill a Mockingbird.

Employment

pb_signage

We run a lean ship here at Perfect Books. We have had NO turnover for quite some time. But every now and then an opening occurs. We look for staff members that read as if their life depended on it, are friendly and outgoing and enjoy working independently as well as working with others. Retail experience is a must and, of course, bookstore experience is extremely welcome! If you are a mature individual and think you'd like to spend a few hours a week working in a vibrant environment, surrounded by great books and fascinating people, drop by and bring along a resume. The pay is terrible but the benefits (books, books, books) are great.
