Colorless Tsukuru Tazaki by Haruki Murakami Colorless Tsukuru Tazaki and His Years of Pilgrimage marks a new direction in Murakami's fiction: a return to the lyrical realism not seen since his 1987 novel Norwegian Wood, but set against the social realities of contemporary Japan.
We Are Not Ourselves by Matthew Thomas Destined to be a classic, this “powerfully moving” (Chad Harbach, The Art of Fielding), multigenerational debut novel of an Irish-American family is nothing short of a “masterwork” (Joshua Ferris, Then We Came to the End).
Canada in the Great Power Game by Gwynne Dyer Canada in the Great Power Game 1914-2014 is a serious contemplation of what it means to engage in major world conflicts, and the price we pay when we do.
The Organized Mind by Daniel Levitin The information age is drowning us in an unprecedented deluge of data. At the same time, we’re expected to make more—and faster—decisions about our lives than ever before.

Employment

pb_signage

We run a lean ship here at Perfect Books. But every now and then an opening occurs. We look for staff members that read as if their life depended on it, are friendly and outgoing and enjoy working independently as well as working with others. Retail experience is a must and of course bookstore experience is extremely welcome! If you are a mature individual and think you'd like to spend a few hours a week working in a vibrant environment, surrounded by great books and fascinating people, drop by and bring along a resume. The pay is terrible but the benefits (books, books, books) are great.
